This note i only an introduction for beginners. I had to allow a user to run a command as root without entering a password - i need if for disk smart monitoring from nagios using smartmontools (smartctl command requires root previleges). I don’t like to read all the sudo man page for now. So, i looked through 3 or 4 tutorials, which didn’t help me. Then i found this one - pretty clear and w/o much details.

It was a surprise to me, that SMP needs APM turned off and RTC and even ERTC turned on… I have configured kernels for different servers even SMP ones but didn’t ever noticed this. A HOWTO is here. (more…)

Побродил дальше по тому же разделу (про суб-культуры, не про эмо )- мне у Krec нравятся очень последние 2 альбома, хоть и “у них всё одна большая песня” (с) С.О. МакЪ, но мне всё равно нравится. И, я думаю, из перечисленных в списке огромного внимания заслуживают Nonamerz - о них никто статью написать не удосужился. Они хоть в спсике, Евгений FIST например или Da B.O.M.B. ваще даже непопали. A very usefull feature of grub is booting a fallback system. Typically you will need it when booting into a newly built kernel on a remote server. In short, this feature makes grub to try to boot all entries one by one until the system starts or until every entry fails.
